#1207 RANSOM'S KING OF THE BLOOD David Ransom Buffalo NY Circa 1870s David Ransom and later his son David L. Ransom were proprietors of several well know patent medicines which may have included Dr. J. R. Miller's Universal Magnetic Balm, Dr. A. Trask's Magnetic Ointment, Dr. J. C. Tilton's Indian Balm Pills, Dr Halbert's Star Kidney & Liver Remedy, and Niagara Star Bitters. He may have even been associated with the early Ransom & Stevens Dandelion and Tomato Panacea in Boston. Ransom apparently built his empire buy acquiring the rights to existing patent medicines and distributing them from his company. Ransom's Family Receipt Book of 1882 lists advertisements for Dr. A. Trask's Magnetic Ointment, Dr. Ransom's Hive Syrup & Tolu, King of the Blood, Dr. J.R. Miller's Universal Magnetic Balm, Prof. Anderson's Dermador.
